The three political parties in the coalition government met at the Atatürk Sports Hall in Nicosia to announce their support to President Ersin Tatar, whom they re -nominated for the second period.

Speaking to the members of the press at the event, President Tatar gave his thanks and gave messages about the next election process.

President Ersin Tatar thanked everyone who supported in his speech and said, “I would like to thank three parties, chairmen, deputies, members of the party council and of course non -governmental organizations for their nomination again. This is a matter of national stance,” he said.

Tatar reiterated his views on the Federal Solution Model in his speech and said, “Everyone has to know that an agreement is no longer possible. A two -state solution based on the sovereign equality is our national policy and there is no return in this way.”

Tatar emphasized his devotion to the national case and said that they are working in full harmony with the Republic of Turkey. “Our way is the state road based on sovereignty. Our ties with Türkiye are strong and we will continue to progress with determination on this road”.

Referring to the difficulties of the election process, Tatar said, “This election is not an ordinary choice. We should explain our thoughts to our people, we must struggle for the future of this country. We have to protect and develop our sovereignty, identity, culture,” he said.

Tatar said that he was working without breaking the people during his political life and said, “I worked as one of the people from the Ministry of Finance to the Prime Ministry and now the Presidency.

President Tatar stated that they will land on the field with the start of the election process. “We have a three -month process. In this process, we will be in the field with our organizations and parties.

Tatar pointed out the importance of supporting the three major political parties and, “This is a first. The fact that the three major parties unite in the national line is an indication that our people will have this agreement,” he said.
