President Ersin Tatar, in a statement on the Cyprus problem, a permanent solution is only possible on the basis of the two states stressed. Stating that the search for federal solutions is now behind, Tatar said that a compromise of the Turkish Cypriot people cannot be achieved without accepting the dominant equality and international equal representation.
Tatar said in his statement:
“There are two democracy in Cyprus, two peoples and two states. One solution in Cyprus can only be on the basis of two states. Federal solution cannot be returned to the search for a solution. If it will be a solution, these two states should be based on the basis of the two states. The dominant equality of the Turkish Cypriot people should be accepted. right.«
Tatar stated that they evaluated cooperation between the two parties in Cyprus in Switzerland and used the following statements:
“We discussed the issues between the two parties in Cyprus in Switzerland. I suggested to open new transition points between the two sides in Geneva. We talked about cooperation between the two states. I am waiting for my proposal to be accepted.”
President Tatar also gave important messages about energy and environmental policies. Tatar stated that an electrical project to be connected to Europe via Türkiye is on the table and that this project will contribute greatly to environmentally friendly energy production:
“We can connect to Europe with the electricity project through Turkey. This is a feasible and applicable project. With this project, we will protect the environment with environmentally friendly green energy production. This suggestion is at the table.”
Tatar also stated that they are also open to cooperation with water:
“We recommend to share the water from Türkiye with Southern Cyprus.
President Tatar’s statements once again revealed the importance of TRNC to a solution model on the basis of sovereignty.
