Tatar evaluated the re -appointment of Holguin – Cyprus Newspaper
President Ersin Tatar considered the United Nations Secretary -General’s re -assigning Maria Angela Holguin as a personal representative of Cyprus as a step of the course of the new atmosphere.
According to a written statement of the Presidency, Tatar continued at the extended formatic meeting held in Geneva on March 17-18, and continued as follows:
“Mr. Holguin also served as a personal representative office between January and July of 2024, and then presented his report to the Secretary General. Mr. Guterres, in a written statement after the gentleman’s gap with two leaders last October, referring to Holguin’s report and the solution of the Cyprus issue.
In this new period, Mr. Holguin will make the preparations for the second meeting in the meeting of the parties to develop cooperation between the parties in the meeting held in Geneva in March, and at the end of July.
As the Turkish Cypriot side, Tatar emphasizes the importance of advancement of the dialogue process with a constructive and result -oriented understanding by respecting the equal status of the parties on the basis of the existing facts. He said.
