Tarious message for Germany

The President of the Russian Parliament, Viaceslav Volodin, warned on Saturday about escalating tensions between his country and Germany in a message to Berlin MPs, DPA reports.

« The current leading German elite creates the conditions for an aggravation of the situation and causes clashes between our countries, » Volodin said in the message to the leaders of the main parliamentary parties of Germany.

The question is whether the German population wants a confrontation, added the head of the Moscow State Duma.

« We do not want this. But if you get here, then we are ready for it, » Volodin said, invoking the increasing support of Berlin for Kiev in the Ukraine war, entered the fourth year.

« We know that the German government intends to place the production of missiles in Ukraine. This means that Germany is increasingly attracted to military actions against Russia, » Volodin warned.

The exact reason for Volodin’s critics were the remarks of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who praised the United States for the liberation of Germany at this week’s meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Volodin accused Merz of not mentioning the major contribution of the Soviet Union to victory over Nazi Germany.
