Macedonian FIDE Master (FM) Anton Zlatkov (2,321, ranked 80th) recorded the first World Cup (SP) win in chess for juniors (up to 20 years) in Petrovac (Montenegro). In the third round with black figures he defeated Russian Miroslav Baturin-Vinogradov (1,993, ranked 129th). The other two Macedonian representatives lost their parties. Michael Burns (1,983, ranked 132) with black figures from Indian FM Arjun Adidardou (2,315, ranked 81st), while in the women's competition Indji Ajradinoska (1,767, 93rd) also with black figures from FM from Uzbekistan.

After three rounds played from the projected 11, Zlatkov in the competition of 157 chess players from 58 countries (12 VM, 37 IM, 44 FM), is 128 with one point, and Burns is 135th with half a point. In the women's competition among 98 participants from 49 countries (seven FVM, 24 IM, 13 LIGHT, two FM and 33 FM), Ajradinoska is 93rd with one point. Meng (2,412, ranked 43rd) all with a maximum of three points, and for girls FM from Russia Ana Jurova (2,307, ranked 12.) and Azerbaijan Ajan Alahverdiyeva (2.284, 14) and both with three wins. G.
