Taravari dismisses Arben Fetai from party post, for local elections he has announced cooperation with DUI and with « VLL »
At the extraordinary assembly of the Alliance for Albanians from Arben Taravari, the head of the party’s Assembly, Arben Fetai, was dismissed. The meeting of the Assembly, as Taravari said, was initiated by 2/3 of the members, and comes days after part of the party’s senior officials opposed his decision to leave the government and the coalition. Nazim Taipi was elected new Speaker of the AA Assembly.
-We have concluded some members of the presidency who are already publicly voting against the Alliance for Albanians. The members of the presidency who were excluded are eight of the 46 members of the Central Presidency, so it continues with the majority of members, and the Assembly with an absolute majority in the Central Assembly. For Mimosa Musa, the decision was not made, as the message was not well defined, whether he stays with the Alliance for Albanians or stays with « WLL », we have no clear message – Taravari said.
He estimated that the party was now cleaner, because according to him, those who left it did not think of the people. Taravari is currently working with only three lawmakers after Mimosa Musa Musa has announced that he will remain part of the government coalition in the government.
« After the departure of those who were only interested in power, the Alliance for Albanians will grow strong and become the leading political force in the future, » Taravari said.
He announced that the Parliament confirmed the decision to leave the government and go to the local elections in October. He announced that he would cooperate with both DUI and « Volen » in the local elections.
-In Bitola, in Kicevo, in Brvenica, in Caska, in Prespa, in Butel we will cooperate with both DUI and « VLL », because only that is the only way we can help the Albanians and that is of Albanian interest, we will see in other municipalities…. We do not exclude cooperation with any opposition political party, except with the Left. To be sure we will not cooperate with the left – said Taravari.
