Szczytniki: Police thwarts the footballers

Inhabitants of the town of Szczytniki (in the Kalisz poviat) noticed a dozen cars entering the forest, which aroused their anxiety. They immediately informed the officers of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Kalisz. In addition to uniformed from the local unit, policemen from the Provincial Headquarters in Poznań and from nearby regions also arrived, carrying out other tasks at the same time.

When the marked police cars arrived, some people began to run away, leaving the cars belonging to them. As a result, uniforms IDed 23 men who did not have a convincing explanation for their presence. Balaclavas, jaw pads and gloves were found in the cars. Police information shows that the intention of visitors from Wrocław could have been an attack on a group of supporters of the Kalisz team who were going to a football meeting in Łódź at the same time.
