Online-free forums in Switzerland are more than marketplaces for sex-they are digital locations of alleged abuse. This research shows how men worsen the conditions for women in sex industry.

That is just two contributions of 235,627. Only two users of 77,425. Two alleged crimes, from who knows how many.
AO-Forum: The 500 most used terms show a world of violence, control and dehumanization.
There are also others: regular customers, respectful freepers, men who listened. « But they don’t write reviews. » Nevertheless, Melanie demands more rights for sex workers – and concrete help for women without a secure stay. «We have to help. Not by illegalizing sex work, but by making it safe. »
Celebrate the crime as a triumph
A particularly disturbing contribution on the AO forum comes from the user directly 77*, which in December 2024 writes about an encounter with a « Czech » sex worker in Central Switzerland. The man describes in detail how he penetrates her against the express will of the woman without a condom – and represents it as a triumph: «She said, not without a condom. (…) But then as always I made Pu *** sliding, but this one time she didn’t control it and I only slowly, my limb deeper, until I then injected the whole load deeply. »
When the woman realized what had happened, she insulted him that he « declined ». However, the client does not react with insight over his crime committed, but with ridicule. So he continues: «I was flabbergasted! Did she play that or was that real? (…) Maybe she can be fucked AO with you earlier. »
He ends his contribution with a directional description to the woman’s apartment, a pejorative comment about her body – and publishes her cell phone number. Watson contacted the woman described. We call her Danija*. She just says: « Of course I know these forums. » She has been working in the trade for 20 years when you know what was written there. When asked about the specific contribution, she reacts tangled: « I don’t want to say anything about it ». Then she puts on with the words: « I can defend myself. »
From the online fantasy to reality
Wulf Rössler, emeritus professor of psychiatry at the University of Zurich, warns: «What we see in these forums is psychological dehumanization. The woman is reduced to an object that is used, evaluated, throws away. This is not an exchange, this is violence in text form – and often associated with real consequences for those affected. »
The group dynamic effect of such platforms is particularly dangerous. «Men who have such fantasies get applause here. This shifts their limits. » This creates a social suction that pushes into increasingly extreme practices.
Wulf Rössler: « The boundaries shift ».
According to an international meta -analysis of over 80 studies, in which Wulf Rössler was involved, sex workers suffer significantly more often from depression, anxiety disorders and trauma disorders. It is crucial whether you work voluntarily – compulsion and dependency increase the risk massive. Illegal working conditions, violence through free and stigmatization are also decisive factors. Language barriers, migration and substance consumption are particularly stressful. Only 5 to 8 percent of the respondents say they like to practice the job.
Free forums such as the one that Watson examined are « a parallel world of exercising power with real victims » for Rössler. Parallel worlds that can fuel violence by freely. He says: « The public has to ask itself how it can be that such platforms have existed for years – without consequences. »
Police investigated with a complaint
In 2019 the «observer»About an almost identical forum:« Sexy-tip.to ». This is even bigger: 102,000 users recorded the platform, over 470,000 contributions. The website is operated on Panama, hosted in Tonga – and therefore inviolable for Swiss authorities.
Watson contacted the cybercrime department of the Zurich cantonal police, with the question of whether such forums are actively checked and scanned. Upon request, this shared with: «To what extent entries in forums correspond to the facts and could be punishable at best, must be checked by the criminal investigation authority in individual cases. It is important in this context that alleged victims decide to advertise the police. »
The cantonal police can only initiate the necessary investigations if we have knowledge of a crime « .
Specifically: if those affected do not report themselves – nothing happens. And so the clients can continue to move freely in their « perpetrators ».

Demand of the freeper for minors
