Update 2025-06-11 11.28: The text has been added to correction.
Several overload attacks against the public service company have created technical problems for SVT during Sunday and Monday. During the night until Wednesday, another attack took place that created interference on SVT Play.
According to Adde Granberg, who is the technology director at SVT, the latest attack against SVT began after 21 on Tuesday night and continued throughout the night.
– Someone or someone sends huge amounts of data to Sweden’s television when we send data to the audience, other locations and our internal systems. So you try to block that data and we try to lock it down. So there is a little cat and rat game together with our suppliers and our techniques who are sitting and actively working on this issue, says Adde Granberg to the Morning Studio.
Adde Granberg also says That the attacks will continue but hopes that you will be able to stand and say that he has difficulty speculating on who is behind it.
In any case, this is not a boy’s line from home, there is someone who wants to influence society Sweden.
Since SVT is part of the total defense, the Swedish Agency for Social Protection and Preparedness (MSB) cooperates with the public service company to investigate the attacks.
Correction: In an earlier version, the Riksdag’s website was also affected, which has been rejected.
