Suspected of sexual abuse against children, the coach is suspended from any football -related activities / day
Latvian Television (LTV) broadcast « Panorama » on Wednesday reported that the State Police had arrested and arrested a person from the sports club « Babite » on suspicion of sexual violence against several 11 and 12 -year -old boys.
The LFF Ethics Committee has been prohibited from the representative of the sports club « Babīte » for any offense at an extraordinary meeting for a possible crime for any football -related activities.
Evidence is currently being collected. Part of the possible episodes of crime took place last weekend, at a time when the children were in a football camp in Barcelona, Spain. Parents, however, suspect that the victims may have a much more longer period of time.

Vilnis Naglis, Chief of the Criminal Police Department of the Riga Region of the State Police, pointed out that one person had been detained in connection with the incident. The suspect is a suitable security measure – detention.
The VP urges parents to talk to their children and contact the police in case of suspicion.
Meanwhile, the parents of the injured children said that the representative of the sports club « Babite » had acquired the confidence of the parents of the children. The parents knew he was married.
LTV is known to be a candidate in the upcoming municipal elections.
The announcement of the Marupe County Division of the Latvian Association of Regions (LRA) could indicate that the detainee is Ģirts Jeske, which is included in the list of candidates in the list of LRA Marupe Municipal elections.
The LRA Pubic statement stated that he has appealed to the Central Election Commission (CEC) to exclude Jeski from the list and will call on the suspect to do so. He will not be positioned as a representative of the LRA in the future and his name will not be used in any party communication, said in a statement. The party in a statement emphasizes that Jeske is not a member of the LRA, but has been included in the list as a representative of the local sports community.
Jeske is a candidate in the municipal elections in Marupe County from the list of LRA, according to information on the CVK website.
