In case of finding a tick, Dr. med., Spec. Ped. Monika Acimovic advises the following:

– It is necessary to remove it as soon as possible to grasp as stupid as possible with the skin as soon as possible and gently pull out the outward and then the antiseptic is applied, and if shortly after such an event, or in general after staying in nature, circular redness on the skin appears if symptoms such as difficult breathing occur, rashes all over the body, or strong islands, reaction.

– It is always a good place for any sting to rinse, disinfect, dry, and then put on a clutching cream, and cold wraps and herbal preparations in gel or sprays can be served as the first aid, and for more long -lasting irritation and cream -based creams or hijaluronic acid for faster healing.

How to avoid insect contact?

Prevention begins with simple but effective habits:

  • Clothing: When staying in nature, wear light long -sleeved clothing and socks. The bright color rejects insects and easier to spot.
  • Nature behavior: Avoid low vegetation, forest paths, stagnant water and wet areas.
  • Body Review: Upon returning from nature, immediately take off your clothes and wash it. The whole body – especially the scalp, the neck, the ears, the armpits, the groin and the fold – should be carefully inspected. Then take a shower and wash your hair.

Although insect bites in most cases cause only mild problems, it is important to be informed and respond in a timely manner to prevent possible complications. With the prevention and basic measures of protection, we can significantly reduce the risk of sting and accompanying allergic or infectious reactions to keep the stay of children in nature carefree. Therefore, be informed, but not concerned, because with small protection measures, nature remains a space of joy, research and healthy growing up.
