One of the four digital screens on the Oude Vest in Dendermonde was hacked for a while on Sunday evening. Pornographic images were shown on it. The city council filed a complaint with the police.
« For a limited time, one of the four screens was hacked by a manipulation, » says ships Dieter Mannaert (CD&V). « In this way, inappropriate content was shown. We immediately intervened to remove these images. »

The city council has filed a complaint for the manufacture and distribution of the content of an extremely pornographic or violent nature among the competent authorities and a thorough investigation is being conducted.

« We do not tolerate this action and want to protect society at all times and in particular minors, » says the ships. « Showing and distributing pornographic material in public is punishable. We look at further measures with the supplier. We do everything we can to prevent such incidents, together with all parties involved. » (Svov)
