The Professional Police Training College receives international accreditation, which is also described as a historical step towards new standards of police education in Albania. At a ceremony held in the premises of the Security Academy today (May 22), the Accreditation of the Professional College of Police Training by the International Association of Standards and Training of Law Enforcement Agencies was submitted.
The Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, described this accreditation as a concrete evidence of commitment to international standards and quality in the professional training of police officers. « This success would not be possible without close cooperation with our international partners, especially Icitap and Iadlest, » He said, emphasizing the crucial role these institutions have played in modernizing curricula and increasing the quality of police education.
The job of the US Embassy in Albania, Nency Vanhorn, highlighted the active role of the State Police in strengthening the partnership in the field of law enforcement. ‘‘State Police and officers trained at the Security Academy are already part of an international standard. They are our partners in the fight against organized crime and the protection of our communities, both in Albania and in the United States ”,-she said.
The international accreditation of the Professional Police Training College will serve the leaders, staff and students of the Security Academy as a high motive to continue with the utmost commitment of professionalism and international cooperation to strengthen public security.
