According to the sources, there is no political agreement on the draft, and government parties will discuss the proposal again after the round of consultation. The issue was decided in the government’s framework, which was held on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

In the past, STT has said that colored shields and taximeter are especially supported by the Finns. The Coalition, on the other hand, sees them as causing problems, for example in terms of applications.

The consultation is scheduled to begin soon.

Taximeter It is not currently mandatory if the taxi only uses fixed pricing.

The fixed price can be agreed, for example, in an application or orally in a taxi stand. A taxi meter would not mean giving up fixed prices, but the meter would collect information about the ride.

For example, according to the Taxi Association, a colored license plate would significantly help customers choose a taxi that meets the legal conditions.
