Strzelce Opolskie. The disappearance of 11-year-old Patrycja. « It wasn’t a kidnapping »
11-year-old Patrycja from Dziewkowice (Opolskie Voivodeship) disappeared on Tuesday, May 13 at 12.30. The girl was to return home from her grandparents, but she didn’t get there. After more than a day of intensive search – in which the so -called Child Alert – a teenager was found in Żory in Silesia, almost 70 km from her place of residence. How did she get there? Many people ask themselves this question. In Strzelce Opolskie, there are currently activities with the participation of a 24-year-old who was detained in connection with the case.

According to the unofficial findings of « Gazeta Wyborcza », officers determined that the lost teenager may be in the apartment of a 24-year-old resident of Żory. The man on Wednesday evening (May 14) was to go to work in one of the factories in the Wodzisław poviat. There the next morning, around 4.00, he was detained.
– He confirmed to us that Patrycja was at his place, he swore that he did not hurt her and gave us the keys to the apartment – says « Wyborcza » one of the police officers. When the officers got inside, the girl was really there. – She was not embarrassed, she looked all and healthy, but she must undergo medical examinations – emphasizes the portal’s informant.
How was Patrycja in the apartment of a young inhabitant of Żory? This is one of the main questions that investigators are looking for now. In Strzelce Opolskie, activities with the participation of a detained 24-year-old are carried out. The police announced that a message would soon be issued in this matter.

According to unofficial findings of Radio Zet, a detained man is not a family of an 11-year-old, but there are many indications that it was not a kidnapping. How could the meeting occur? One of the hypotheses examined by investigators says that the 24-year-old could meet a girl on social media.
Why did he take Patrycja to his apartment in Żory? And why, when a Child Alert was announced and an SMS was sent with information about the disappearance of an 11-year-old to residents all over Poland, did he not contact the police? This is another issue that officers investigate.
Patrycja, whole and healthy, under the care of the uniformed, set off home. A psychologist is to talk to her there.
