Strength in the Assembly, parties do not move from positions, as an option seen international intervention
Despite the failure for the seventeenth time of the constitution of the Kosovo Assembly, parliamentary parties are still far from reaching a solution to forming institutions after the 9 February elections.
In the Self -Determination Movement, the List of Guxo and Alternatives, the coalition that has emerged first in the February 9 elections, continue to insist on their proposal for parliamentary speakers, despite the numbers to choose Albulena Haxhiu in the post, while waiting for other parties in the Assembly.
On the other hand, in the Democratic League of Kosovo, they accuse the LVV of being the main culprit for the political crisis in the country, while stressing that the solution is their proposal for a comprehensive transient government.
All this, according to political analysts, shows the need for the international factor to be involved in resolving the cramp created.
LVV MP Artan Abrashi tells KosovaPress that other parties in the Assembly should reflect and vote on the election of legislature troops.
Meanwhile, LDK MP Ekrem Hyseni tells KosovaPress, that the LVV coalition, alternatives and the List, must understand that they do not have the numbers to select Albulena Haxhiu Speaker, so it must overcome anger and find a solution through political agreement.
According to him, this political agreement must be made on the basis of the LDK’s proposal for the formation of a comprehensive transitional government.
On the other hand, political analyst Arbnor Sadiku tells KosovaPress that the failure for the 17th time of the constitution of the Assembly is for regret and that it shows the immaturity of political parties.
It highlights one element that, according to him, is the dependence of political parties on the international community for the formation of institutions in Kosovo.
Sadiku says this may happen this time so that internationals are involved in the formation of institutions.
According to him, after the LDK rejected the coalition with the LVV, the only option remains the ruling coalition between the LVV and the PDK, although this is constantly denied by both sides.
The Assembly of Kosovo, since April 15, when the constituent session was summoned, has failed seventeen times in a row to constitute the ninth legislature.
The process is stuck in the election of the Parliament Speaker, as the Vetevendosje Movement in Coalition with Guxo and Alternatives cannot provide 61 votes for Albulena Haxhiu – proposed for Speaker of Parliament.
