Stream prize as the best animated movie at the French Caesar presentation ceremony / day

50. The « Caesar » awards ceremony was opened by its president, French actress Katrina Deneva, on a political note.

« I announce the 50th Caesar Award ceremony for open, and I devote it to Ukraine, » Deneva said, wearing a brooch with a Ukrainian flag.

Director Jacques Odiar's musical « Emilia Pérez » won « Caesarus « 's best films, best director, best adapted scenario, best sounds, best cinematography, best visual effect and best original music categories.

However, the star of this film, Spanish actress Karl Sofia Gaskon, involved in the scandal, lost in the battle for the best actress award, which was received by Hafsia Herz for the role of prison guard in the movie « Borgo ».

« Caesar » as the best actor received Karim Lou for a role in the psychological drama « Jim's Story ».

Jonathan Gleizer's « The Zone of Interest » was won by the best foreign film in the category « Caesar », which was awarded « Oscar » last year.

The honorary « Caesar » was awarded to American actress Julie Roberts and a French filmmaker, screenwriter and producer Kost Gavr, who was born in Greece. After receiving this prize, Roberts thanked Deneva's « For a Cinema For a Better World » and then thanked her family.

« Straume » competed for « Caesar » in the best -length animated film category with French director Michelle Hazanavich's film « The Most Precious of Cargoes » and Swiss director Claude Barrasa's film « Savages ».

« Straume », which last year's world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, has so far been honored with dozens of awards, including the « Golden Globe » award as the best animated film.

« Straume » is the first Latvian cinema to be nominated for the US Film Academy Award, Oscar, and « Straume » is claiming « Oscar » in two categories – « Best Full -Level Movie » and « Best Foreign Film ». The Oscars will host a ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Monday night Latvian time).
