Heavy rains that occurred in several voivodships caused local flooding and communication paralysis. Water flooded roads, houses and properties, and the fire brigade intervened hundreds of times. As IMGW forecasts, this is not the end of dangerous weather.

Heavy rains in Silesia. Racibórz is the most injured

The most affected by the downpours were towns in Silesia. In the Racibórz poviat, water flooded numerous properties and local roads. The most damage was recorded in Racibórz, Krzanowice and Pietrowice Wielkie. There was also an evacuation of some farms.

As you can see in numerous photos and recordings, in many places the roads were completely impassable, and the water reached to the knees. The rain was also accompanied by a gusty wind that broke the trees.

A rapid hail in Pomerania

Storms did not bypass the north of the country. In the town of Myślice in the province Pomeranian residents had to face an intense hail. Ice balls with a diameter of up to several centimeters fell from the sky.

Lesser Poland. Flooded streets and properties

The difficult situation also took place in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. IN Monday, June 2, in the towns of Tenczyn and Niedźwiedz. FAUTIFUL rainfall led to flooding of streets, basements and residential buildings. The effects of the downpour are still removed.

IMGW warns against dangerous weather

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued 1 degree warnings for several poviats in the north and east of the country. Synoptics announce that the unstable aura can stay for a few more days. Residents of endangered areas should be particularly careful.
