According to the DWD, storm gusts occur above 1500 meters, which reach wind speeds between 65 and 85 kilometers per hour. They come from a western or northwest direction. In exposed locations, the weather service, even has to be expected with severe gusts of wind that reach up to 100 km/h.

Storm gusts in Bavaria: What people have to calculate with what

According to the weather service, people have to prepare in the affected counties at the risk of falling branches and flying objects. Freestanding objects should therefore be secured and tents and covers are attached or broken down. If you move under trees, you should pay attention to falling branches.
