Over one hundred people of different professions and ages gathered to plant the Forest State Forest Enterprise (SFE) Dubrava Regional Division Girelė Forest District.
Before planting, foresters explained to the helpers how to deal with special tools, how to properly prepare the roots of the seedling, and at what distance they should be inserted into the ground.

Planting at the felling site
M. Kriščiūnas pointed out that Girelė was a mature forest for planting in the planting area a few years ago.
« This is the farm forest of the fourth group. The purpose of such forests is to grow quality wood production. The forest cut by law must be restored within three years, » the specialist explained.
According to him, the soil of the cut forest was plowed, the turf opened, and the furrows were formed.
« We have a 2.7 -hectare barn. For that area a total of 8 thousand 600 pine, about 4 thousand fir trees and 700 birch seedlings have been prepared.

Arrived with ATVs
Over thirty people came to the Girė Forest with ATVs.
« We came to the forest with our families, children. We are together in the ATVs, we look at the ATV as a tool that helps us experience nature, ride hard -to -reach roads. It is decreasing, ”said Vytautas Banionis, one of the club members.
According to him, when planting trees, members of the ATVs Club seek to contribute to the fostering of the forest.

Mixed forests
In the Dubrava Regional Unit, the national forest was held this time in 3 places – Vaišvydava, Girelė and Karmėlava forest district. About 300 people participated. It was planned to plan (restore) the forest on a 6.9 ha area.

Professionals, who oversees the forests of the Dubrava Regional Unit, have been alarming in recent years the aggressive spread of the cortex.

SFE informed that all the planting of the forest planting is grown in modern nurseries belonging to the SFE using the latest and most advanced growing technologies. Genetically reliable seeds are selected to grow seedlings, which guarantee quality forest seedlings that become beautiful forests in the future.
