The Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal in Stip today dismissed as illicit appeals regarding the house arrest measure of the two former mayors of Kocani, Ratko Dimitrovski and Nikolco Iliev, who are part of the suspects in the investigation into the so -called fire. Pulse cabaret in which 59 people were killed and nearly 200 were injured.

This remains the decision to determine house arrest of Dimitrovski and Iliev, and the Basic Court Kocani will have to decide again only on the imposed precaution – temporary seizure of a road or other document to cross Dimitrovski’s state border.

The Court of Appeal in Stip informed that today at a vague session, on the occasion of the appeals of the suspect Ratko Dimitrovski and the BPPO Kocani against the decision of the Basic Court Kocani, with which the detention of the suspect Dimitrovski was replaced by house arrest and detainee. They are rejected as inadmissible, and only Dimitorski’s appeal is accepted to the specified precautionary measure.

-The decision of the Basic Court Kocani KS-36/2025 of 24.03.2025 in paragraph 2 of it is abolished and the case is only returned to that part for re-decision-reads the decision of the Appeal Stip.

Regarding the appeal against the decision of the Basic Court Kocani, which has been replaced by the suspect Nikolco Iliev, the detention measure has been replaced by house arrest and has been given a precautionary measure of temporary seizure of a road or other document for crossing the state border, the Appeal Stip informs that today.

-The brake stated by the Basic Public Prosecutor from Kocani, against the decision of the Basic Court in Kocani KS-34/25 of 24.03.2025-is rejected as illegal-reads the statement from the Appeal Stip.

The Kocani Basic Court acting on the appeals of 17 suspects in the tragedy at the Pulse disco in Kocani on March 26 this year ruled that the « Effective Detention » measure for former Kocani mayors, Ratko Dimitrievski and Nikolco Iliyev, was replaced by a house.

A tradgical fire that occurred at the Pulse disco in Kocani on March 16 killed 59 people and injured about 200.
