From the sale of Rijeka Damir Miskovic American billionaire Lee Andersonit doesn’t seem to be nothing. No specific agreement on sale has not been reached or close to realization, writes Germania.

It is not the first time that guesses have been guessing about the possible sale of Rijeka. Miskovic has been looking for a buyer several times, but no attempt has been fruitful so far. Last year, the entry of a German investor was mentioned, but negotiations were interrupted at the last minute. Despite everything, Miskovic remains enrolled as the most successful club president. During his leadership, Rijeka won seven trophies: two championships, four Cups and one supercomput.
He has been at the head of the club since 2012, when the owner was still Italian Gabriele Volpi. Today, Rijeka is being prepared for qualifying for the Champions League, which will be her second appearance in that competition in history. The start of qualifications awaits them in July, in the second round.
In a recent interview, Miskovic pointed out that he and his family will never act against the interests of the club. The goal, he says, is to fight for the top every season and win Europe, and when the opportunity is given, try to take a trophy.

– We have to believe in Rijeka and be positive, which I say all the time. Sometimes it is not worth it, but we remain positive because it is the only way for the club to function. The club everyone adores, alone we have to believe in what we do. My family and I will never go against Rijeka. We will do everything we can. Whether it will be enough at the end of the day, that’s another thing. We do our best and let people evaluate – he said, adding:
– At the beginning of each season, I say that it is a goal to be at the top of Croatian football. We want to fight the place leading to European competitions. If we are given the opportunity to win the title or the Cup, we will do our best. We did this last year, when we were competitive to the end, but we didn’t go. This year God rewarded us.
