Maximilian Steinlechner plays for his greatest success in the GC Altentann. The German Marcel Schneider, Matthias Schwab and Bernd Wiesberger are far behind.

Maximilian Steinlechner is the only Austrian golf professional to play for a top placement at the DP World Tour in Henndorf on Lake Wallersee at the DP World Tour Heimurnier. Steinlechner played a round without loss of stroke and with six birdies, making 21 places well. « The last two rounds were pretty solid, it is fun. Today I did a few birdies, to build on it, never really decrease, » said the Tyrolean. The expectations for tomorrow? « It will be cool. »

Schwab and Wiesberger far back

The day was less good for the other two ÖGV golfer who had done the cut. Wiesberger brought a par-round (70) to the clubhouse and goes to Sunday with one under par and 50th place. A double bogey on lane 16 converted a better placement to the 39-year-old Burgenländer. Schwab had started ex-aequo with Steinlechner as 28th, but missed his round with seven bogeys and three over par (73). The 30-year-old Schladminger lost 29 ranks and is overall at Par.

Marcel Schneider also leads the field after the third day. After a 66, the German is a stroke in front of his compatriot Nicolai von Dellingshausen, who thanks to an Eagle on the last hole 65, and two strokes in front of the Danes Jeff Winther, who played a 62 round. (APA)
