When the weather warms up, drivers are looking for ways to enjoy travel. One of the funniest options during the warm season is a motorcycle. The choice of a bike companion seems to be a pretty simple task: which is more eye -catching, driving it.

However, specialists advise you not to hurry and weigh your needs well. First of all, you should clearly define the price you are willing to pay for your motorcycle.

Then you should define the route where most of your travel will take. In the city or in the countryside, asphalt or gravel roads, maybe even off -road. It is also important to name the purpose of the motorcycle. Perhaps it will be used to handle everyday matters, maybe in the evenings with buddies, or maybe just for a rare weekend trip or long distance trips.

It is important to weigh the power of the vehicle you need, how much experience you have, what height you are.

It turns out it is a very nice but quite awkward motorcycle.

Beautiful but uncomfortable

Major motorcycle manufacturers Ducati, Yamaha, CFMOTO or Honda offer a wide range of models – from powerful and sporty for the city or trail, to travel or those that can be on off -road challenges.

According to Justas Lengvinas, the organizer of the Lithuanian Motorcycle of the Year, drivers should take time to look at the model they like and try it in a real way.

« The motorcycle I ride every day is very different from the first dream motorcycles. For example, I was just a category A category driving test for a Cafe-Racer-type model, but I changed my mind after the first kilometers. It turns out to be a very nice but uncomfortable motorcycle.

However, I fully understand that these models have chosen. Every motorcycle has its own driver, ”Lenghin said.

According to the organizer of the competition « Lithuanian Motorcycle of the Year », a lot of satisfaction is added by the right size vehicle. Usually, the height of different models of models varies by just a few centimeters, but the driver on their saddle may feel absolutely different.

This is also an important criterion, especially when choosing to take inferior roads or off -road. This category models are perfect for this.

According to Mr Lengin, it is advisable to leave his ego behind the side when considering buying a motorcycle. Because the motorcycle is released high doses of adrenaline, which are dangerous.

Try lighter

Mr Lenghin admits he is a slow driver, so he does not shy away from sitting on the light -like motorcycles. He drives a 75 -hp motorcycle daily, weighing less than 200 kg.

Other drivers also advise other drivers to try not only the most powerful, but also the average or even weaker models before purchasing.

Colin Chapman, the founder of Lotus, has said the legendary phrase about cars: « Simplify and add lightness. » The farther away, the more I am convinced that it is valid for motorcycles, ”he said.

True, he does not apply his own habits for everyone – the motorcycle, unlike a car, is a very individual thing. If the driver is an experienced and wants a quick model, you have to choose what is closest to the heart and wallet.

Price – not everything

Sports motorcycle lovers who look at the highest cartel often choose Ducati Panigale or MV Agusta Brutale. The prices of these models can significantly exceed 30 thousand. euros.

On the other hand, the « speed » and « expensive » of the words do not need to put a sign of equality. CFMOTO has recently introduced its new model 675SR-R, powered by a new 3-cylinder engine and 100 km/h. reaching within 3.6 seconds. This model has high-performance J.Juan brakes, adjustable KYB suspension, Quick-Shifter system and many other advantages, but its price is less than 8,000. euros.

« I am smokeing with a motorcycle costing nearly € 30,000 and speculating that the Quick-Shifter system may be poorly adjusted because it acted at best. It turns out it acted as it should do. Then I sit on a twice-cheapest motorcycle and the same system functioned better, » Mr Lenghin recalled.

The interlocutor urged not to be afraid to go to the sales salons, where to sit down and grab one model or another. Even better, the representative has demonstration models and allows them to be driven. Often a few kilometers are enough – it becomes clear whether love has light up or whether to look for another.

Already next Tuesday, April 29, the competition « Lithuanian Motorcycle 2025 » will be officially launched in Vilnius. The list of participants is very diverse this year. Off-road enthusiasts will be of interest to the Electric Stark Law Ex and Talaria MX5 and travelers Moto Morini X-Cape 700, CFMOTO 450mt, Yamaha Tenere 700 or CFMOTO 800MT-X powerful. FB Mondial Flat Track 125CC, CFMOTO 125NK, Yamaha MT-125, Honda GB350S and Honda PCX125 Deluxe will be perfect.

Among the sporty news is the CFMOTO 675SR-R, the spectacular power Yamaha MT-09 Y-TMT, the sporty and popular Yamaha MT-07 and the brand new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP. The final composition of the contestants was completed until this week and will be evaluated by the Professional Eleven Commission.

Last year’s winners

The Honda CRF 1100D4 Africa Twin model received the title of Motorcycle 2024 of the Year in Lithuania. BMW R 1300 GS and CFMOTO 800mt Explore and Honda CB650 have been behind it.

In the category where motorcycles with up to 125 cubic meters competed. cm engines, the 125CC of the Year became the KTM 125 Duke2024. The « Electric Motorcycle 2024 of the Year » became the Surron Ultra Bee. After a fierce struggle and just a few points, the 2024 city motorcycle became the Honda CB650. The Honda CRF100D4 Africa Twin is named the Adventure Motorcycle of the Year. The winner of the Light Adventure of the Year nomination was the CFMOTO 800mt Explore.

The Electoral Commission of the Year was the most sporty motorcycle for KTM 990 Duke. For those looking for the best model at the most affordable price, the commission selected the budget model of the year. It became CFMOTO 800K. In the nomination « Design of the Year », the Ducati Diavel V4, the voting of the commission, was a significant lead.

The Honda CB650 has been recognized as the year. Ducati Diavel V4 won the Cruiser / Custom of the Year nomination. Yamaha Tenere 700 Explore became the motorcycle of the nation of the year.
