State Reception of the Russian Embassy in Skopje on the occasion of Russia Day

The Embassy of the Russian Federation held a state reception yesterday in Skopje on the occasion of Russia’s Day.
In the year marking eight decades of victory over fascism for the great struggle of soldiers, partisans and background workers on the front, the exhibition « The Road to the Great Victory », prepared by the embassy, ​​with archive photos of Russian news agency RIA Novosti and the Fighters of the Fighters.

Guests had the opportunity to try the tastes of traditional Russian cuisine and enjoy the works of Russian classical music by Petar Tchaikovsky, whose 185th anniversary of the birth is marked this year, performed by the orchestra under the leadership of the excellent conductor Eugene Svetanov.

-I am convinced that all attempts to destroy the strong relationships of interaction and mutual respect among our brotherly peoples will be unsuccessful. It connects us with a centuries -old history, a joining of spiritual and cultural kinship, from common Slavic roots, from a common struggle during World War II. The 80th anniversary of the victory we celebrated together just over a month ago. No political congestion has power over the sincere feelings of people – in Macedonia we feel such behavior, without exaggeration, virtually every step. All of this can become the basis for the recovery of ties when the beneficial conditions arise. But we are ready for any development of events.
We have all the opportunities for this – no one should doubt it or try to check it. It will not be intimidated, forcing us to make concessions or make us a collection of our citizens. We don’t leave ours! His brosa! – emphasized the Russian ambassador in his speech.

-Russia is the largest, truly unique Civilization state, which extends thousands of kilometers from west to east and north to south, in which more than 190 nations, nationalities and ethnicities live in inter-religious harmony. It is open to the world, leads a positive and unifying foreign policy, offers an honest and fair model for the development of international relations, advocating respect for the independence of countries and peoples, their customs and cultures. At the base of our civilization and identity are the traditional values ​​our ancestors have set over the centuries. Among them are the unity of the peoples of Russia, the commitment to truth and justice, mercy and humanism, the strong family and the love of children, mutual help and the aspiration for achieving the whole country, not just personal well -being. And, of course, it is patriotism, the dedication of the homeland. It is these values ​​that form our sovereign look at the world, sustainable to attempts to impose us someone else’s will – said Russian Ambassador Sergei Basdnicki on the occasion of Russia’s Day, organized by the Embassy of Russia in Macedonia.
