State Prosecutor Kocevski received the proposal to dismiss him
State Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski received the government's proposal for his dismissal and will declare in writing within the legally prescribed deadline.
As reported by FORSM, today the Council of Public Prosecutors has submitted a proposal for its dismissal submitted by the Government. According to the legal deadlines, the Council should send an opinion within 15 days.

The Government on February 11, 2025, decided to initiate a procedure to dismiss State Public Prosecutor Kocevski, who was elected to this position a year ago, and his mandate lasts six years.
The Ministry of Justice, acting on the conclusion of the 50th session of the Government, drafted a draft thinking to dismiss the state prosecutor.
– In the past we have witnessed a series of scandals, impaired functionality of the Public Prosecutor's Office, disrupted interpersonal relationships, illegal actions and corruption, inefficiency in the prosecution and violation of the principles of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the independence in the office of prosecutors.
The State Prosecutor, according to the Ministry of Justice, acted in cases in which according to the legal provisions there were circumstances that cause suspicion of its impartiality, as well as a conflict of interest, and which circumstances he should have known and should have been excluded.
National prosecutor Kocevski denies the claim that he illegally acted, pointing out that he was following the law and the deadlines in it. He said he would comment on his dismissal proposal after the government submitted it to the Council of Public Prosecutors. Regarding Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski's request to step down, Kocevski said he would respond after seeing the grounds foreseen in the Law on Public Prosecutor's Office. If it is determined that there is really a severe disciplinary injury, he said he would step down.
