If they can't even protect themselves, how will other businesses, users or their information be? « The attacks on large companies – Microsoft, Solarwinds, Telekom – are not proof that cyber security is pointless, but that it is a constant process that requires constant improvements, » said Renato Uhl. Business management should therefore ask themselves what they can do to reduce risks. State companies often underestimate the risks and pay too little attention and funds to the protection, the UHL agreed. Progress is also inhibited by a deficit of cyber security experts and a complex bureaucracy that inhibits progress.
