State booking? Nonsense, they refer to Huliak his own
The system should be used especially for tax purposes.
The state website on which accommodation officers will write data on their guests is still a matter of the remote future, but Rudolf Huliakto which after recent castles in government Robert Fico (Direction) Prischlo the seat of the minister of tourism and sportshe has already painted magnificent plans for him.
Huliak on the press during the so -called control day, when the Prime Minister orbits his subordinates, said that the Evisitor state system should « fully replace booking ».
It is nonsense – this could be summarized by the reaction of people from the hotel industry, but also the answers of the Tourism Ministry itself to the index questions. As they explain, Evisitor should not serve at all to replace the largest global accommodation system.
The Evisitor himself is not stupid with the features that are really considered. It is supposed to cope with the accommodation black, which the hoteliers consider to be one of the top problems of their business.
No “positive motivation” but the EU regulation
The Evisitor system whose construction, by the way, originally The government of Ľudovít Ódor has designed yet (Today Progressive Slovakia), it should provide digital records of guests of hotels, guest houses, but also private or apartments.
They use a similar solution in other EU countries, for example in Croatia Since 2016.
The state wants to get more information about the tourists. Will introduce their stricter registration Read
Among other things, Evisitor is intended to increase the revenue of local governments and the state from local taxes and income taxes, which has not yet been paid by part of the landlords because it has not been anywhere.
The cardinal question is how the state wants to force them to do it. Although Huliak spoke about « positive motivation » on the press, he did not hit this either.
As the Ministry of Tourism later explained the index, last year’s European Union regulation should help short -term lease.
In short, online reservation sites, such as Booking or Airbnb, will have to provide national digital platforms as Evisitor to provide host data and their guests.
Unlendly it would program him
President The Association of Hotels and Restaurants of Slovakia Marek Harbuľák says that Evisitor is not intended for guests.
« It is a tool for the state, it will be used by cities and municipalities in administration and tax collection, tourism organizations for setting up their strategies or marketing campaigns, » he explains.
According to him, Evisitor could also serve hypothetically for small landlords with several rooms as a reservation tool, but would have to join the system beyond the features considered.
However, this is not planned by Huliak’s ministry (at least). “The ambition of the Evisitor is not to replace online (Reservation – ed.) platforms, ”she wrote to the index question.
At the same time, Huliak developed his vision on the press that Evisitor, unlike commercial portals, will not charge the landlord to the landlords. And he added the idea that « they will be properly promoted in the form of Slovakia Travel ».
At present, however, the state agency Slovakia Travel provides promotion of Slovakia as countries or regions and important monuments, but not individual hotels or guest houses.
They will follow up on the odeor’s government
When Evisitor becomes a reality, it is not clear. According to plans Odor’s government The 2023 was to be functional within two years. However, since it ruled briefly, it did not manage to prepare a feasibility study or write Public procurement to a system supplier.
Since then, system building has not been built. According to the tourism department, a feasibility study competition is not yet announced. Currently, only the establishment of the interdepartmental group, which Evisitor should address, is currently underway.
However, the introduction of the Evisitor may, in addition to the ideas of Rudolf Huliak, encounter other challenges. This is shown by the case of the Czech ethurist system.
The draft of the Tourism Act, which is to cover the operation of the system, has been in parliament since March, where the discussion is discussed on the scope of collected data on guests. Some deputies want to limit him to the residence and year of birth at home guests. At the same time, the hotel would have the obligation to keep the paper book of guests.
However, this is contrary to the original intention to relieve entrepreneurs from double records and bring more accurate guest statistics. The launch of the Czech system is planned for 2026.
