Season 4 of the « You » series was released in 2023 and since then fans have been waiting for the sequel in season 5 to see which plans Joe is out. Now there is an official start date for the last season of « You ».
The fifth season of the Netflix-Series « You – you will love me » starts on April 24, 2025. In the recently published trailer, the main character Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, returns to New York City to find peace and luck. However, his life is threatened by the deeds of his past and his own dark desires.

In season 1 to season 4 of « You – you will love me » there are ten episodes to see. Ten new episodes were also announced for season 5. « You – you will love me », season 5: This is the action
All seasons are primarily about love, seduction, drugs and murder. Joe has to change both his identity and his place of residence more often. Nevertheless, he always manages to commit murders without being prosecuted. He cleverly does it in such a way that it either looks like suicide, or apparently someone else is the murderer. What will happen in the new season is not yet known.
Already in season 4 it became even bloodthirsty and darker. After Joe starts a fresh start in London and accepts a new identity when Professor Jonathan Moore takes on a new identity, he falls in love with the artificial gallery. At the same time, the university’s workforce is released by secrets and mysterious machinations. Several people are killed in Joe’s environment, by a serial killer who makes him real competition. At first Rhys seems to be the murderer, but in the end it comes as a surprise that in truth Joe himself committed all the murders. Then Joe Rhys kills – but he does not want to disappear from his memory, not even when Joe tries to kill himself. After he survives his suicide attempt, he admits Kate his love and the two go back to New York. Rhys lives on in Joe’s delusions.
In season 5 of « You – you will love me » it is difficult again to keep his violent tendencies under control. At first, Kate is not very concerned about his dark sides as long as she benefits from it. But in the last episodes, she too seems to be brooding when Joe suggests that you turn off all of her opponents.
In addition to a new relationship, Joe has to deal with the negative consequences of his lifestyle. The danger grows that his actions will be uncovered by friends of the victims or the media. His pursuers are also getting closer. In addition, it can be seen in the trailer that Joe may be stunned and captured. Could it be the revenge of an earlier victim? However, Joe’s return to New York is anything but peaceful.
There is an innovation on the part of production: Sera Gamble, the previous show runner, no longer takes on this role for season 5. Instead, the « You » authors Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo hatch. in their role. After both have long been involved in the origin of the series, it cannot be assumed that something will change in the style and action of the series.

The series « You – you will love me » is exclusively on the streaming service Netflix available. From April 24, 2025, spectators can call up the latest consequences of the psychological thriller series there.
