Before the main summit, Starmer will have a telephone conversation with representatives of the Baltic States in the morning, but then he will host Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski in Downing Street to judge the war with Russia, the statement said.

Leaders from continental Europe, including France, Germany, Denmark and Italy, as well as Turkey, NATO and the European Union (EU) (EU), are invited to the Summit in London on Sunday.

The leaders of the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Romania and Finland are also invited.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rite, as well as the President of the European Commission (EC), Urzula von der Leien and the President of the European Council, will visit the summit.

Even before the summit began, Starmer will have individual conversations in the Downing Street with Italian Prime Minister George Meloni.

The London Summit will be based on Paris talks organized by French President Emmanuel Macron this month.

The meeting will focus on « strengthening the position of Ukraine at the moment, among other things, permanent military support and increased economic pressure on Russia ».

It will once again emphasize the need for a « strong long -term agreement that provides constant peace » and will discuss « next steps on strict security guarantees planning ».

Re -insist that Ukraine has to take part in any negotiations to end the three -year war with Russia, Starmer will also admit that « Europe must play a role in defense and strengthen the forces in the interest of collective security ».

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump took a gentler shade in the White House, but refused to take on a strong commitment to US security guarantees hoping for European countries.

Trump also said that great progress has been made to the agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine and that the negotiations were at a crucial stage.
