Sprudel instead of spray and insolent fellow human beings
Usually a month of self -optimization begins in gray and barren January. While others have already replaced the party shower with celery juice at the beginning of the year, I solemnly bang the corks a few times. Detox? Maybe later. And this « later » is now – in April. The sun showed up for a few days, the aperitis flowed and I sipped well on the thirst quencher without a percentage.
From « Dry January » makes « Dry April ». I’ve never been a fan of group compulsion – everything in his time. What I had no idea: The biggest challenge is not the desire for a cool glass of rosé, but the reactions of my fellow human beings.
At a concert at the beginning of the month, when I innocently hold a water in my hand, someone who I only know fleetingly asks me (and very drunk): « Are you about pregnant? » A question that is not only attacking, but also about as charming as a warm beer.
The biggest challenge is not the desire for a cool glass of rosé, but the reactions of my fellow human beings.
Then the next scene on a sunny terrace: my companion orders Aperol, I choose something without a percentage. The waiter looks at me, « No aperol? » He says in a tone, as if I had violated a dress code. With the second non -alcoholic drink, the disappointment was almost tangible.
Thanks to Trump, the vacation in the state of emergency starts
But there are also bright spots: more and more restaurants are offering really delicious, non -alcoholic alternatives. However, the matter has a not inconsiderable catch: If a sparkling water costs as much as a glass of wine, you shouldn’t be surprised if the perseverance of some fails on the wallet.

The “gazettchen” is an informal column in which the authors legally tell about their everyday experiences or even give an insight into their thoughts. This has a long tradition: On December 3, 1946, an opinion with the title « Today » appears for the first time at the top of the side left on the first local side in the « Luxemburger Word ». On January 13, 1971, the « Gazettchen », which has been extremely popular with readers, then became the « gazette », which has kept its Premium-Platz in Luxembourg’s top-class daily newspaper to this day and across all layout.
