Sponsored content – a week to breathe and redefine the word « leave »

The ideal starting point to start your stay? Neuchâtel, the eponymous city placed by the lake. Here, we settle a few days in a hotel in the center, the shutters with a view of the Alps or the Yellow Stone buildings, the flower market, the boats that are slowly pitch. We then take the time to explore it on foot, by bike, by boat. A cruise on the lake – included with the map – reveals beaches, natural banks and discreet villages. Later, a train leads to Chaux-de-Fonds and Locle, cities listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. There, the history of cities and their watchmaking workshops rhyme with meticulousness. Museums and the space of watchmaking town planning (EUH) are essential.

Over the days, we always discover more without hurrying. Hiking in the hollow of the van, mountain bike ride in the forests of this destination, strolling in the vineyards around Cressier, lunch break by the lakes of Neuchâtel or Brenets. Each trip is a discovery, each rise a reward. And because everything is accessible by public transport (included in the card), the car can stay in the garage to travel more slightly and enjoy more.

We also discover the underground mills of the Col-des-Roches, fascinating vestiges cut in the rock where the temperature is 7 degrees all year round. We taste absinthe where we celebrate it, in the village of Môtiers. We settle on a bench at the top of Chaumont, Panorama Grand Open on the Alps. And sometimes, we let time spend to be satisfied with the blue of the lake, its reflections and the clear view of the mountains, with the Eiger, the Mönch, the Jungfrau, and even the Mont-Blanc, in cross points. From the time found … in Neuchâtel, visitors are quickly attached … The canton offers itself in the ear, in the footsteps and in taste with its local specialties offered in many restaurants. And when the time comes to leave, only one idea animates them: come back. A territory that does not make noise, but which leaves a trace.
