Splendid Palace offers to watch movies with legendary Allen Delon / Day
Allen Delon (1935-2024) left the world on August 18 last year, experiencing a grand cinema career and recognition, leaving behind more than 100 films and became a legend of the cinema. He used to call himself an artist, not a professional actor because he had never studied in cinema schools.
He had a bad relationship with his parents and grandparents in his youth, and the only thing he liked was to sing in the choir. He was called in the army, but military discipline was not his strength. Released from the army service, Allen Delon bought a weapon, stole a jeep and went to prison for 45 days. After the stormy start of life, the stepfather told the young man to acquire a butcher’s position, which he later was proud to be the only actor who was able to elegantly cut the meat … He worked for various physical works that he did not shy away from mentioning in his biography. The harsh school of life was great for the cinema camera. His outstanding athletic and visual abilities were noticed and young actress Bridget Obera, who had just filmed at Alfred Hitchcock Catch a thief (1955), the young man took Delon to the Cannes Film Festival. The cinema world brought him into the lights of the spotlights and all his life.
Cinema fame fell over him like an avalanche. In the 1960s, he filmed 33 films, in the seventies – 34 cinema. His visual image – a bad guy with an angel’s face and a model, captured world cinema screens.
28 in May: Black tulip (1964, La Tulipe Noire), director Christian Jacques
On the eve of the Great French Revolution, Rusijon Local Police Chief Lamušs hopelessly drives a foot to a black tulip, a mask -dressed fighter. Keeping the suspect in Gijom Senpré, he manages to hurt it by forcing the black tulip to find himself in the person of his twin brother Jillian. The film is based on the motifs of the novel of the same name in Alexander Dim, but not only the words that have been changed, but also the events are freely interpreted.
Both twin brothers are played in the film by Allen Delon. The film is attractive and seemingly playful with masterful sword fights, changing clothes and identity, which Delon succeeds with a light self -irony, but does not have the heroism characteristic of American classic films. Delon’s performance in the role of Julien/Guy and the surprisingly good special effects that at the same time show both heroes as anti -poles. Delon Gijom is a loving villain, but Juljen is portraying as a gentle and sensitive guy who has to mask of a black tulip. The scenes with two delones in one shot, but the staging retains a realistic solution, is so well realized that it is easy for viewers to forget that they are designed as a technical attraction.
Once again, Allen Delon at a similar double -eye, sword battles, horses and black eye masks return to the movie Zorro (1975). The film was one of the 60 -year film entertainers blockbusters, which has had a great impact not only on viewers but also for filmmakers, including director Alexander Leiman’s Latvian film Diptych Vella’s servants (1970) and Vella’s servants in the Vella Mill (1972).

Beautiful interiors, beautiful women, great dialogues and film dramaturgy, which equates the film to the samples of this film genre.
The film is directed by Turkish filmmaker Henri Verney, a Turkish -born filmmaker, who was then considered an expert in the robbery genre and was the main story motif in his films.
