Intensive preparation for opening

The new Lidl store in Kaunas is run by experienced manager Erikas Gulvičius, who has been working in the company for seven years. According to him, preparation for the opening of the new store took place for almost two weeks.

“Although I have been working for Lidl for a long time, I have never opened the store myself. I remember when I first went to an empty shop, office, employee recreation facilities. We had to gather a team from scratch, decide where everything would stand, where we would rest, and where we will work. It was a new experience for me – to get to know how the opening of the store was going, even though I knew everything theoretically, now I had the opportunity to do everything in practice, ”said E. Gulevičius.

According to him, team members not only actively trained spaces for clients, but also gave time to familiarize themselves with each other.

« It is important for the team to communicate and agree with each other – it helps to achieve a common goal. So before the opening, we all gathered, ordered pizzas, met and talked. Even though we work for a short time, we have been able to consolidate some traditions, such as Monday colleagues, ”shared the manager of the new Kaunas Lidl store.

Convenient location for both residents and city guests

The newly opened Lidl store in Kaunas is a well -known location for locals. For a long time, the sewing workshop of the fur processing factory « Wolf » was operating in this building.

« The premises of the building were re -planned, a new annex was built on the ground floor, where the new store is located and the office space on the other floors. The access work was carried out near the nearby Raudondvaris highway – adjacent parking spaces and entrances, » noted E. Gulevičius.

He adds that the location of the store is extremely convenient not only for Kaunas residents, but also for the citizens or guests passing by:

According to regional leaders I. Matavičienė, the new Kaunas Lidl store has an exceptionally strong team ready to work for the common goal.

« The store manager is well aware of the store’s processes and strongly develops its team members. The whole team is not only friends, but also knows its responsibilities well. Each store area is extremely neat, there is never a shortage of goods on the shelves, and all processes work smoothly and expeditiously.

It is also supported by the store manager, adding that although the team is new, it has a number of old -fashioned companies, and newly joined colleagues are extremely motivated.

« While still in preparation for the opening of the store, we sought to find out who is best at paying and what jobs they like best. For example, we have colleagues who enjoy working in the bakery, while others reveal and serve customers with a smile. Estimates for cleanliness, freshness and service, ”said E. Gulevičius.

Special opening offers that apply to both food and non -food goods are still waiting in the new store in Vilijampolė. Discounts on selected goods are 30, 40 or even 50 percent.

Also, from Saturday, April 5, this store does not sell food goods – it will be available for purchases of only 1 euro.
