Spartak and Ural went to the Russian Cup semifinals
In the first semi -final match of the “RPL path” “Fonbet” of the Russian Cup “Zenit” in a very difficult struggle beat on someone else's field – 1: 0 – “Rostov”. “Spartak” and “Ural” entered the semifinal stage of the “Paths of the Regions”. The Spartaks as a guest managed – 3: 2 – with Acron, and Yekaterinburgers, performing in the second most rank the Russian football division, overcame – 1: 0 – Rubin.
Watching the first half of the Rostov match, one would think that its participants in advance synchronously thought that there was still another meeting with each other ahead – such is the regulations « RPL paths » – And there is no point in risk now: everything, whatever one may say, will be decided in April.
They played solidly, without fuss and carefully, on the principle of « no harm. »
But no, of course, the favorite at least wanted to win. Otherwise, the Zenit coach Sergei Semak would not have shook the entire front line after a break, releasing Gustav Mantuan, Mateo Kascerra, and behind him Luciano Honda.
