Sound engineer, kick boxer and intermediary is guilty of double rental murder of Magali Wagner and Coline Ghinet (inland)

Together out, together at home. For public prosecutor Aurélie Baurain, after two years of investigation and three weeks of debate on Assisen in Brussels, there was no splash of doubt. She asked the twelve -member jury on Wednesday to declare the three accused collectively guilty.

Before her, Magali Wagner and her daughter Coline Ghinet were killed in the Bel-floor on 24 March 2022 with a plan that came from Pierre Devalet's tube, the sound engineer of RTBF who could not cope that Magali wanted to end the relationship and that he had to get out of the house. For Devalet it was already the second time that a woman put him at the door. And so he planned a rental murder, about which he appealed to Libramont Libramont Youth Friend Vincent Léglise during a game of bowling. He in turn arranged a assassin, Patrick Ngongi Béby, a Brussels kickboxer with a history in a youth gang and a ribbon convictions. A man with an aversion to the police who sees a racist conspiracy in everything, it turned out at the hearing.

No renovations or old -timers

Only Devalet made confessions throughout the investigation – in October 2022. The other two accused are holding their innocence up to this day. Léglise insisted that all that mystery was about renovation works in Schaerbeek and the purchase of an old -timer. In recent years, Ngongi came up with so many alternative truths that only he saw the trees through the forest of lies. But he could never commit a double murder of two innocent women, he kept full.

The fact that his DNA was found on the crime scene was never right in the past three weeks. In his latest version he had been to the house, but only to move the GSMs, the laptops and Magali's car.

Friday morning punishments

The twelve -member jury did not believe the story of Léglise and Ngongi Béby. After an hour of consideration, the verdict followed on Thursday evening: according to the Brussels folk jury, both Devalet and Ngongi are guilty of the double rental murder. Léglise, released freely on his assize process, has also been guilty. As a co -perpetrator, he risks a lifelong imprisonment on Friday, just like the two others. On Friday morning, public prosecutor Baurain is expected to demand lifelong imprisonment.
