Sons of Ljubicic and Ivanisevic in Opatija Love First ATP points!
The first round matches in Opatija began the 53rd. Tournament of the Istrian Riviera, and the organizers invited two young, talented tennis players to the competition – Leonard Violet and Emanuel Ivanisevic. They are the sons of celebrated Croatian tennis players John Violet and Goran Ivanisevic. Interestingly, in this tournament, their first ATP points were also won by their fathers. They both claim that they are not burdened with the fact that the sons of the great Croatian tennis players are.
– By the age of 11 or 12, I also played football and tennis, but I had to make a decision and I chose tennis. I wasn’t bad in football, I was fast, had a good left and right leg. I haven’t played for a long time, so I must have lost its shape, ”Leonardo said.
– I started football and tennis too, but in the end I opted for tennis, even though I am in football left, which is especially appreciated. I think I have good volitions and I attack Bekhend very well. I still have to work on the service – Ivanisevic said.
Leonardo at Turinir and reached the first senior career victory. In pair with Sava Ribkin from Russia, defeated a Hungarian combination Achilles Belkovics – Adam Gabor Szoka with 2-0 in sets (twice a 6-2).

Ljubicic younger and Ribkin finished in less than an hour, with only one lost gem service, and they even seized the service to opponents five times. In the second round they are waiting for them by an Italian duo Alessandro Battiston and Pietro Pampanin who beat the Croatian couple Igor Anicic and Matea Martinovic.
– I would love to do the most I can and use my potential. I may be the first, two hundred or fifties in the world, but I will do my best to be as good as possible – Leonardo concluded.
