« It was something that happened in 2023. Then there was the biggest increase and all the figures went up in terms of violence and criminal offenses. It was a scene that we were hoping to return but have not done so, » says Páley Borgþórsdóttir, police chief of the North East.
Police in the North East issued a statement yesterday saying some serious violent offenses. Increased drug use
« The environment has become worse and more difficult, » says Paley.
