Some of the Bulgarians spying on Russia went to Brexit debate in Parliament in London
According to media, Orlin Rusev, Biser Dzhambazov and Katherine Ivanova attended the event in a meeting room in May 2016. This is indicated by photos posted on social networks and discovered by the media. They are convicted with representatives of European political parties.
Two people who knew Orlin Rusev during the relevant period suggest that he was filmed at the event in the House of Municipalities. The British public media opens Dzhambazov; Ivanova was on the list of statements that they would be present.
Lynn Brown, a former MP whose initiative is used by the hall, says that there is absolutely no memory of the event and that she does not believe she has met with the three. There is also no evidence of misconduct during the debate, but a British MP has called for it to determine whether they have had access to the hall and parliament in other situations.

Catherine Ivanova was convicted of crimes with Tihomir Ivanchev and Vanya Gaberova between August 2020 and February 2023, after a four -month trial in London. But the BBC realizes that he was fired in 2012 after being caught diverting significant sums of money – the equivalent of $ 130,000 – for six months. After being fired, Rusev introduced himself as a legitimate businessman for industrial events.

The event in parliament was organized and visited by representatives of European political parties, including the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), to which Dzhambazov and Ivanova joined in early 2016, writes the British media.
During the trial, reports were read as evidence between Dzhambazov and Rusev, in which the former boasted political ties in the BSP’s « higher echelon ». Since 2015, Dzhambazov has been actively involved in the administration of the Bulgarian elections in the UK through the Embassy. Ivanova and Gaberova also worked in this capacity at different times.

Other present in the photo includes Roberto Serenza, who was the Minister of Health of Italy with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte between 2019 and 2022, representatives of the Romania Social Democratic Party (and now a major coalition partner) and a municipal councilor of the Labor Party.
A publication on the BSP website, published before the event, claims that it will be attended by « representatives of all parliamentary parties in the British Parliament ». It’s unclear if this happened, the BBC continues.
