Sokol Sadushi, host of the XV Conference of High Courts of Central and Eastern Courts

On Monday, June 9, 2025, in the city of Vlora, Albania will be the host of the XV Conference of High Courts of Central and Eastern European Courts, one of the most important regional events in the field of justice.

The conference is organized by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Albania, in cooperation with the CEELI Institute (Central and Eastern European Law Initiative), and will gather over 20 high court presidents and judges from various Central and Eastern European countries, as well as from the United States of America.

Sokol Sadushi, the President of the Supreme Court of Albania, is the host of this edition, who emphasizes the importance of regional judicial dialogue in strengthening the independence of the judiciary, transparency and European standards of justice.

This conference is not only a symbolic activity, but an important platform for the practical exchange of experiences, addressing common challenges and enhancing regional cooperation in the field of justice. In a reality where the judicial system faces numerous challenges, such as overload and the need for more transparency, these meetings are essential to promote sustainable and experienced solutions.

Participating countries include: Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine and the United States of America.

This is the second time that Albania welcomes this conference, after the first edition held in Tirana in 2012, which clearly proves the commitment of the Albanian justice system to international cooperation, regional dialogue and the European integration process.

The Albanian side will speak the President of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi and the judge of this court, Asim Vokshi, who is known for his Western qualifications.
