Sociologist. What kind of president will Romanians will
According to sociological studies, the main expectation of Romanians from a country president is the ability to represent the country with dignity abroad, says sociologist Iulian Stanescu, researcher at the Institute for the Quality Research of the Romanian Academy, in the podcast of Ionuț Vulpescu.
The second requirement is the ability to carry up to some measures that it proposes or thinks, says Stănescu, specialist in social policies, inequality and poverty.
« People expect a president first of all to represent Romania with dignity abroad, to be able to carry a discussion with foreign policy leaders, to be able to come to that discussion with their own agenda and to get something for Romania. And secondly, he waits for someone who is able to end certain measures that he proposes or thinks. It should not be someone who is directed from behind or gives this feeling. And be someone who really has leadership qualities. He is the one who sets the tone, the one who visibly is in charge, so to speak, ”says Stanescu.
