Newly, researchers from humanities and social sciences can also be awarded the award for exceptional scientific personalities.

ESET Science Award is entered the seventh year this year and for the first time it is open to all scientists and scientists regardless of their scientific field.

One of the reasons why humanities and social sciences have not been included so far is that ESET, as a technology company, was closer to other science fields.

Pandemia, the impact of social networks, the different perception of reality, the relativization of facts, according to society, shows that these scientific disciplines are increasingly important and to manage it requires an interdisciplinary approach.

This is one of the reasons why science is the theme of this year as a pillar of trust. According to Eset, science brings several approaches that can help restore confidence in facts and knowledge.

The award will be awarded this year in three categories, namely the exceptional personality of science in Slovakia, an exceptional personality of science under 35 and an exceptional personality of higher education, with one laureate or laureate from each. It will be selected by an international commission to be chaired by the Nobel Prize winner.
