So little got the family in replacement

The tragedy took place in the Katni district of the state of Madhya Pradesh, where on September 11, 2015, Latori Barman was on his way home from a village party.

According to authorities, he stopped on the road at a spirits business, but never reached his home. Because in the dark he fell into a large hole in the middle of the road – a hole that was filled with asphalt later in the evening by construction workers who did not discover he was lying there.

And that’s appealing, police chief Gourav Rajput told CNN.

So without suspecting suspicion that they would soon take a life, they began to fill the gap with gravel and bitumen. Subsequently, it was leveled with a steam drum.

The next day, Barman’s wife struck an alarm when he had not returned home. It was only after an intense search in the village that a neighbor discovered a human arm protruding from the newly paved road. The authorities were immediately called and dug up the body.

The case triggered a great resurrection in the local area and led to more construction workers being arrested. Among them, both the driver of a dumping and an employee were charged with negligent manslaughter. According to an investigator, there were neither warning signs nor any kind of barrier around the hole.

But what ran with the most attention was the fact that the family was awarded a mildly shame compensation for the 43-year-old’s life.

They were awarded a mere 50,000 Indian Rupees, corresponding to DKK 3,800.

The case has recently been brought to life after YouTuber Zack D Films made an animated reconstruction of the accident that has shaken thousands of users online. The comments flowed in – both with grief and anger:
