So far 44 criminal reports have been registered for electoral crimes
The Prosecutor General’s Office has provided information on the number of reports and criminal proceedings registered with the Prosecutor’s Office of General Jurisdiction over the criminal offenses in the field of elections.
Prosecutors in the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction by 07.05.2025 have been registered in total 44 criminal reports related to the criminal offenses in the field of elections provided for in Articles 325, 326/a, 327, 328, 328/a, 329, 329/a, 331/a and 332/a.
Sources of notification of criminal offenses for the above reports were: Judicial Police in 19 cases; SPAK in 9 cases; political entities in 6 cases; initiated mainly in 8 cases and citizens in 2 cases.
Reports made to the General Prosecutor’s Office show that the above reports were registered with 5 in Fier Prosecutor’s Office, 3 in the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office, 2 in the Durres Prosecutor’s Office, 7 in the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, 2 in the Gjirokastra Prosecutor’s Office, 3 in the Prosecutor’s Office of Lezha, 9 in the Prosecutor’s Office, 2 in the Prosecutor’s Office, 2 Elbasan Prosecutor’s Office.
From the reports filed a total of 20 criminal proceedings for the offenses provided for in Articles 325, 326/a, 327, 328/a, 328/b, 329, 329/a, 331/a and 332/a of the following:
– In the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, a total of 5 proceedings are recorded, 2 proceedings for the criminal offense provided for in Article 325 of the Criminal Code, 1 proceeding for Article 328/a of the Criminal Code, 1 proceeding for Article 328/a, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code provided for in Article 328;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Gjirokastra has registered 2 proceedings for the offenses offensed by Articles 326/1 and 329/1 of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan registered in total 4 proceedings for the offenses of Articles 328/a, 248, 332/a, 134/1 and 287/b of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Durres has registered 1 proceedings for the criminal offenses offensed by Articles 328/a and 248 of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Dibër is recorded 1 proceeding for the criminal offenses offensed by Articles 237/5 and 328/a, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Shkodra has registered 2 proceedings for criminal offenses offensed by Articles 328/a and 328/b of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Saranda has registered 2 proceedings for the offenses offensed by Articles 325 and 326/a of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Kukës has registered 1 proceeding for the criminal offense of Article 328/that of the Criminal Code;
– The Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korça is recorded 1 proceeding for the criminal offense of Articles 328/that of the Criminal Code; AND
At the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Vlora was registered 1 proceeding for the criminal offense of Articles 328/that of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, SPAK has been sent for competence 1 report by the Durres Prosecutor’s Office and a criminal proceeding by the Fier Prosecutor’s Office. Other reports are in the verification phase.
