Slovenian women successfully over the challenging first obstacle, tomorrow next
Slovenian karate players Hana Debeljak (up to 61 kg), Elizabeth Molnar (up to 68 kg) and Zala Maria Žibret (over 68 kg) have successfully started team fights at the European European Championships in Jerevan. In the introductory round, our national teams, all members of KK Ljubljana, reliably beat Montenegrins by 2-0, thus qualifying for the eighth finals, in which they will compete with Serbs tomorrow.

Among the individuals, one victory in the capital of Armenia was achieved only by Hana Debeljak, who initially eliminated the Englishwoman in the category up to 61 kilograms Jasmine pomeroy (2: 1) then lost with Latvian Beato Girvica (1: 4) and in Repešaž, however, the Croatian was better than the Slovenian karate player Mia Greta Zorko (4: 7). This was enough for ninth place, which is also our only individual ranking in the competition in Jerevan.
Elizabeth Molnar had to acknowledge the superiority of Slovakia in the first round Sari guilty (1: 7), Zala Maria Žibret, who impressed with a bronze medal at last year’s old continent championship in Zadar, this time pulled a shorter towards Romania in the introductory duel Maria Cristina Coman (2: 4).
