Slovenian water polo players qualified for the sixth time at the European Championship
Slovenian water polo players in the third match of qualifying for the European Championships next year in Belgrade today in Kranj with 16: 6 (5: 2, 3: 0, 4: 3, 4: 1) won the decisive match with the UK. Thus, before the end, the bike had already qualified for the final tournament of the best national teams of the old continent.

With today’s victory, our species qualified for the sixth time. The Slovenian Water Polo national team first won the trip to the championship of the old continent in 1999 and competed in Florence. In 2003, the home EP in Kranj followed, followed by the 2006 EP in Belgrade.
In 2022, however, Slovenia, as the best team in qualifying, which was left without an EP, was offered a new opportunity to compete in the Championship in Croatia after the sanctions of Russia. Even two years later, when the Croats took over the organization from Israel due to the war, Slovenia earned the EP.
Tomorrow Slovenia will compete with the Netherlands at 7pm for the first place in the qualifying group.
