Slovenian ski resorts invite 365 days a year

As winters are increasingly slimmer with snow blanket, they have to transform their offer and focus on the development of year -round tourism activities. With European cohesion funds, winter tourist centers have transformed into year -round mountain centers with a rich offer of activities for all seasons, which has brought about new value and attraction for tourists and greater economic activity in the regions where they have ski resorts. Increasing the number of visitors throughout the year means more jobs and greater economic stability for the local population. They provided better infrastructure or new cableway installations, expansion of ski slopes and the development of additional content, such as adrenaline parks, cycling lanes and wellness centers. The total value of the investments amounted to EUR 76.5 million, of which EUR 55.4 million is European and public funding.
