SŽ-Tovarni Transport as a leading carrier in the region

SZ-Tovarni Transport, part of the Slovenian Railway Group, remains the largest railway carrier in Slovenia and one of the leading carriers in the region. They are an extremely internationally directed company, with more than 90 percent of the goods being transported in cross -border traffic. Last year, they transported nearly 18 million tonnes of goods. The largest proportion is containers, followed by ore, agricultural products, oil and derivatives and coal.

X. Corridor is a strategic link for the future

One of the main strategic goals of the company is to strengthen the presence in the markets along the X -Corridor, which connects the countries of the former Yugoslavia. This corridor is the shortest natural connection between Central and Southeastern Europe, opening the door to larger trade flows, especially between Italy, Germany and Serbia. Slovenian Railways also confirm their commitment to the markets in the region by operating in the Serbian market. Since 2003, a representative office has been established here. Since 2015, Belgrade also has a subsidiary of SI Cargo Logistics.
