Slovenian handball players get interesting rivals on the EP
Slovenian handball players won competitors at the European Championships between 15 January and 1 February next year in Norway, Denmark and Sweden at today’s Denmark’s draw. Initially, they will play in Group D in Oslo against competitors from the Faroe Islands, Montenegro and Switzerland.
Slovenia, which won first place in the qualifying group 1 with 100 % proceeds after defeating North Macedonia, Lithuania and Estonia twice, will be in the European Championship early next year. She was the best at the 2004 home tournament when she won the silver medal. She achieved the second most prominent outcome in Sweden, Norway and Austria 2020, when she finished fourth, and finished sixth in her last European Championships in Germany 2024.
At the sixteen European Championships so far, Sweden was the most successful, who won the gold medal five times. France won four times, Spain, Denmark and Germany twice, and Russia once.
There will be 24 selected species in the continental competition next year in Scandinavia. Two of the best national teams from all six groups will qualify for the second part of the competition, and all third and fourth-ranked will be dropped out of further competition.
The first part of the competition will be played in Oslo, Herning, Malmö and Kristianstad, and the second part of the competition in Herning and Malmö. The Jyska Bank Boxen Hall in Herning will also host both semi -final matches and decisive fifth, third and first place.
