BRATISLAVA. According to the representative of their owner, two farms in the south of Slovakia recorded the symptoms of the disease and the cattle.

Both farms are located in a region that is adjacent to Hungary, where it was near the border with Slovakia Slinteer and Kriva confirmed two weeks ago.

« On two farms we have all the symptoms characteristic of this disease. On the farm of bears is the breeding of young livestock and juniper. We have also noticed symptoms at the farm of dairy cows in the village of ňarad, » the portal quoted the representative of Agročat and Medzičilia's representative of Pavel Majerčák.

He added that at least one other agricultural company showed similar symptoms in cattle.

There are 670 pieces of animals on the bear farm and 650 dairy cows, which produce more than six million liters of milk per year – now its transport to the processors has already been suspended.

« We hope that this serious disease will not be confirmed. We are currently under full control of the veterinary administration and we are cooperated with their recommendations and measures, » says Majerčák.

After confirming the clinkers and coffers in Hungary, the veterinarians ordered the control of the breeds of selected species of animals at the border with the southern neighbor, the authorities also checked the animals transported. Farmers called for hygiene measures.

Andrej Gajdoš, head of the Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber, said earlier that the infection occurred in the country for the last time in 1974 and its possible re -confirmation would now mean a disaster for Slovak breeders.

Slinteer and Kriva is a viral disease that mainly affects hoofs, ie. Luscal animals such as cows, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, but also forest animals, such as. Deer, roe deer and mouflons.

The basic symptoms of the disease include a high fever that reaches a level above 40 degrees Celsius and the formation of blisters, especially in the oral cavity, on the mammary gland or in the panecht space.

It is easily transmitted by touch and air, people can further expand it with agricultural machines, shoes, clothing and tires of vehicles that have come into contact with the virus.

In the event of its occurrence, all animals must be spent.
